Purpose and Goals

The Whirlpool Manifesto is meant to be simple guiding document to inspire the future of software development. It is not a framework, it is not a system, it is not law, or codification of any sort. Its main tenets and principles are not meant to be concrete facts. They are thought evoking, meditative contemplations. The main goal of the manifesto is to push forward the idea that current systems and methodologies should be questioned. What works should be carried forward. What doesn’t work should be thrown out. Adapt and learn, stick to what you believe in.

Origins of the Manifesto

The origins of the Whirlpool Manifesto are opaque and mysterious. No convention was held, no committees were formed, and no founding members are attributed to its creation.
